The Deputy President of Sarawak Cheshire Home Dr. Lim Thian Siong represented the President Dato Sri Ang Lai Soon to officiate the closing ceremony on 9th Nov, 2014 followed by the presentation of certificates to the participants. In his speech, Dr. Lm said that a happy and friendly attitude is a vital element to rehabilitate those with special needs. This is the type of relationship that a care-giver must possess as they will have a life long relationship with the physically and mentally challenged. Dr. Lim also called upon the care-givers to be more sensitive to the plight and needs of those under their care. On the whole, the course was a success and has to some extent achieved its objective as participants have found that the course was interesting, informative and beneficial in discharging their duties. It is hoped that more similar courses will be organised in future if funds are available.
